TIME magazine debuts AI-powered customization
The time has finally come to read and listen to quality content, the way you want it
As a media professional who started her career in editorial, I’m personally intrigued and excited by this new landmark AI integration in TIME magazine that just launched yesterday with their Person of the Year issue. They partnered with Scale AI to integrate a generative AI that customizes articles by length, language, and even generates audio podcast versions. You can ask TIME AI questions about the article, and it will generate personalized responses based on its content.
My grain of thought
This is a step towards editorial publications using AI wisely and with intention to customize content with a high standard quality and increase user value. There is much more of this to come in 2025. Soon we will see similar AI integrated products from The Atlantic, Hearst, and other news publications that have signed partnership deals with OpenAI in recent months.
You'll hear much more about this from me on THE GRAIN podcast this Tuesday, as I round up 2024 AI newsmaker events and what they mean for the creative industry, and my grains of thought for what’s to come in 2025.
I know these are polarizing events, but they are happening fast and I want creatives to be part of the conversation. Please have your say by reaching out to me at ronit@thegrain.ai
Stay tuned on THE GRAIN, for the pleasure and peril of AI and the future of creativity.
